SUBTLE DEPTHS

This work is a conversation between the world around us and that of the interior. Imagery of the human figure, the natural world, and the shadows weave together life and death, past and future.  These open-ended visual narratives are teased out of a diverse selection of painterly material.  Paints and mark-making tools are chosen for their ability to obscure or be translucent, create texture, or develop layers to be rubbed away or veiled.  The process is a journey resulting in an expression of the subtleties and richness of life.
